TVS iQube Overview
TVS iQube is an electric scooter available in 2 variants and 7 colours. iQube price starts at Rs. 1,31,828 in India with top variant price starting from Rs. 1,36,983. TVS iQube generates 3000 W power from its motor. TVS iQube comes up with front disc and rear drum brakes. Similar to a number of major manufacturers, TVS also became a part of the green revolution as it recently launched the iQube electric scooter in India. First electric two-wheeler from the manufacturer, the iQube gets conventional scooter-like design along with a slew of modern features while promising decent performance and battery range. While the overall silhouette of the iQube looks like that of a traditional scooter, it gets a few design touches which lend it a futuristic appeal. This includes sleek headlamp and tail lamp design along with a U-shaped LED DRL on the handlebar cowl. TVS has also paid attention towards its practicality by giving it a roomy seat, spacious footboard, large underseat storage compartment and luggage hooks. It also gets an underseat USB charging socket for juicing up the electronics devices. Powering the iQube are three lithium-ion batteries which collectively have a power rating of 2.25kWh. While it fully charges in around five hours, the claimed range stands at 75kms. Propelling the scooter is a 4.4kW hub-mounted BLDC motor which produces 140Nm of torque at the wheel. TVS claims it can achieve a top speed of 40kmph in Eco mode and 78kmph in Sport mode while the 0-40kmph acceleration time is 4.2 seconds. The iQube also comes loaded with features such as full-LED lighting along with a full-colour TFT instrument cluster sporting TVS’ SmartXonnect function. It allows connecting the display with smartphone through Bluetooth for giving access to various information such as ride stats, remote battery range and geo fencing. This console also gets navigation feature and shows incoming call and message notifications. Interestingly, the iQube has been equipped with a Q-Park feature for easier parking. It rides on 12-inch wheels which are suspended by telescopic forks up front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Braking is handled by a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear. The iQube tips the scales at 118kgs. With the iQube, TVS aims to compete against the Ather 450 and the Bajaj Chetak electric, all of which are currently available only in select cities across India.

I bought a tvs iqube s just a couple of weeks back. First of all it's an expensive acquisition. But it looks elegant than most of the same species on the road. It feels good to ride a silent machine, acceleration is real quick. But one of the major drawback which i observed from day one is a very annoying noise and a tactile vibration on the floor in even normal condition. Contrary to peace of mind which the manufacturer claims, it has becoming a real concern and headache within just two weeks. Off-course noise can't be heard on road as the ambient road noise masks the noise from the scooter but a bit silent environment easily reveals it. The feel of the vibration is very real. Do any one has the same experience with tvs iqube s or it's a defect specific to mine?

I bought (i qube s) 2 months ago, my usual commute is urban driving, approx. 30km/day.Bought it from bharath tvs bangalore, the buying experience was smooth, though there was a delay in delivery by 7 days owing to a shortage of chargers (hard to believe as every vehicle comes with a default charger)So far with 2000 kms on odo no issue to talk about, but yet from a couple of days while breaking under normal circumstance it feels as if brakes and motors are in competition, feels vehicle wants to go forward but need extra braking effort to slow it down, resulting in the jarring feeling while braking, also the throttle lever is too small in diameter which requires to grip heavy to accelerate, need improved braking, though it has a disc brake upfront. Top speed is not satisfactory which restricts to 50km/hr. In normal mode, in sports mode 72 max. (owing to its hub motor configuration). At high speeds seems stable, but need to be cautious as the vehicle is low-slung and silent, ongoing vehicles will be taken by surprise, though helped by quite a loud horn, (recommend tvs to consider providing imitation riding noise)The user interface is good and neat, need to get used to shifting modes using buttons, Led headlamps do a good job for the speed which the vehicle achieves.Even with a 10% battery left outperforms normally.Charging takes 4-5 hrs max.Lacks a cubby holder, and mobile holder upfront, yet the USB charger underneath the seat is good, To talk about range it shows exactly 102km/charge, but the first 10% drains out within 6kms commute, but got min 90 km/charge in the real world, Service engineers suggested charging only after 15% is left out, which is good for battery life.Good product from tvs, yet steeply priced at rs 1.33 lac on the road, considering the vehicle has been a hub motor rather than belt driven.

This vehicle will work till 6 months after processor problem then charging and battery problem will arise. This vehicle should be kept for at least 6-10 days for basic checking. They take 3 months to solve the problem.. My vehicle was bought 2 years back and more than 6 -8 months my vehicle was in service center. Now after 1-.5 years of service regularly monthly 3 times it will go for service stays for minimum of 10 days and the problem has not resolved till date. Simply they keep the vehicle for 3 days without touching, then 10 days for checkup. I am fed up with this. Wasting my time picking up calling them regularly for status. They never call customer. Lack of technicians, irresponsible manager.
